There are various places to eat within easy reach of Lea Hill Cottages, the majority of these can be found in Axminster, which is only a three to four mile drive. To help give you an idea of where you can enjoy a meal during your holiday we have put together a list of just a few of our favourites in the local area.

River Cottage

Situated in Axminster is the popular River Cottage Kitchen and Deli, where guests can dine on seasonal food sourced from the local area. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal, however due to its popularity we do recommend booking a table in advance. River Cottage also has an onsite deli for guests looking to purchase food to take away.

La Pisani is a mediterranean restaurant in Axminster that prides itself on using local, fresh ingredients. The restaurant is open all days and serves everything from a traditional English breakfast and Sunday roast to seafood platters for two and a selection of wonderful pizzas. Only open two nights a week and with bookings essential is The Giant Club, a small restaurant in Axminster. The restaurant has a set six course menu that is created on the day and serves locally produced food alongside organic wines and a range of cocktails.

The Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn in Axminster is a traditional, family friendly pub serving home cooked food alongside a good selection of real ales, lagers and ciders. The pub, which has its own restaurant also shows most live sports events as well as having regular entertainment.
