How many cottages are onsite?
There are four self-catering cottages at Lea Hill varying in size.
How many guests can each cottage accommodate?
Woodpecker is our smallest cottage and can sleep 2, Quakers sleeps 4, Nuthatch, sleeps four plus two additional guests on a sofa bed and Kingfisher sleeps four plus a child.
What bedrooms are in Kingfisher?
Kingfisher is our largest cottage and can sleep four adults plus a child. The bedrooms are a double en-suite, a twin/double en-suite with zip and link beds and a single bedroom.
What bedrooms are in Quakers?
Quakers is located in the main farmhouse and has two bedrooms a large en-suite double and a double/twin with zip and link beds and en-suite bathroom.
What bedrooms are in Nuthatch?
Nuthatch, which is located next door to Woodpecker and sleeps four in two double en-suite bedrooms. An additional two guests can also be accommodated on a sofa bed located on the ground floor.
What bedrooms are in Woodpecker?
Woodpecker is our smallest self-catering cottage, sleeping two in one en-suite double bedroom.
Are all bedrooms in the cottages en-suite?
All the main bedrooms in each cottage are en-suite. The only room, which is not en-suite is the single bedroom in Kingfisher, which is advertised for children.
Are all cottages dog-friendly?
All the cottages welcome four dogs. Each dog is charged at an additional £30 each.
Is a security deposit required?
On arrival the owners will collect a £50.00 refundable security deposit.
Does each cottage have off road car parking?
There is ample off road car parking at Lea Hill Cottages.
Does each cottage have its own garden?
Each cottage has a designated outdoor area where garden furniture is set up.
Are any gardens enclosed?
Nuthatch and Woodpecker ar the only cottages that have enclosed gardens, however, it may be possible for a dog to escape these gardens, so we do suggest dogs are supervised.
Which cottage’s include heating?
Heating is only included in the price of Quakers
Do the cottages include bed linen and towels?
For guests travelling from overseas, bed linen and towels can be provided at an additional surcharge paid directly to the owner. The prices are as follows:  for one bed  £40, two beds £70, three beds £90 (this also includes 1 bed, plus 2 beds linked together) and four beds £120
What heating is in Woodpecker?
Infra-red heating is fitted in Woodpecker and is charged at cost during your stay in the cottage.
What heating is in Nuthatch?
Oil fired central heating is fitted in Nuthatch and is charged at cost during your stay in the cottage.
Can linen and towels be hired for an additional cost?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide linen or towels for Woodpecker or Nuthatch.
Do all guests have access to the communal gardens?
All guests are welcome to explore the large communal gardens.
Is WiFi included?
Free WiFi is available in all the cottages.
How far is the nearest pub?
River Cottage in Axminster is only three miles away, you will also find a number of other places to eat in the town, such as Cinnamons, The Lamb Inn and Le Pisani. Other nearby pubs include The Old Inn and The New Inn at Kilmington, which are less than a four mile drive.
How far is the nearest shop?
In Axminster, around four miles away you will find a Tesco Superstore. Other shops including River Cottage deli can also be found in the town.
How far is the nearest beach?
Lyme Regis is only nine miles away and has a beach, which is part of the Jurassic Coastline. Seaton is 10 miles away.
How do we book?
Booking is quick and easy with our online booking calendar, just select your arrival day followed by the number of nights you wish to stay, a price will be quoted. If happy with your dates and the price please proceed by clicking the highlighted ‘Book Now’ button.
What is the booking process?
To accept a booking we require a 30% deposit with the outstanding balance due eight weeks prior to arrival. If booking within eight weeks of your arrival we would require the full amount to secure the booking. We also require a 2% booking fee.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment via credit/debit card, PayPal (online booking only), bank transfer and cheque.
What is the booking fee?
When making a booking we require a 2% booking fee, this is to cover the administration of each booking.
What is the charge for dogs?
Dogs are charged at an additional £30 each.
What is the arrival time?
Arrival time is 4pm.
What is the departure time?
Departure time is 10am.
Do you accept short breaks?
Short breaks are welcomed at certain times of the year, please get in touch via email or on 01271 377 432 for more information, or visit our availability page.
What is the changeover day?
For seven night bookings our changeover day is a Friday. If booking a short break, changeover days are either a Friday or a Monday.
